[{"content":"Hi, I\u0026rsquo;m Matjaz — an engineer and tinkerer by heart and someone who learns fast and likes to solve hard problems with technology.\nSince I\u0026rsquo;ve been a kid, I hard to urge to take things apart. I started on computers at age 7 (DOS, Windows 3.1, Logo), built my first website at 12, went to technical high school for computer tehcnicians and then on to do a computer science degree at FERI in Maribor (Slovenia). Throughout my career I went from an individual contributor to team lead and then CTO and back, because I missed getting my \u0026ldquo;hands dirty\u0026rdquo;.\nFrom backend code, data analytics and Google Cloud, to now embedded systems, I pick up new things fairly quickly and love to dig in and go deep.\nRecent experience # Embedded Developer — Mono Technologies\nBuilt a Raspberry Pi test jig/device covering the full board pipeline (JTAG bring-up, QSPI/eMMC flashing, OpenWRT/Linux programming, network validation). We used it to process our first 1,000 boards. Helped trace a board-bricking firmware bug to a PD-controller timing gap and proposed a datasheet-correct fix. Did PoC for flash recovery on a semi-dead board by injecting power and controlling the flash chip directly using PCB probes, logic analyzer and Tigard. Did a PoC for capturing JTAG communication between proprietary debugger and the LS1046a with a JTAG breakout board and logic analyzer. Did a PoC for JTAG semihosting on LS1046A with cheap non-proprietary JTAG probe/debugger. Validated and tested 10 GbE and IPSec hardware offloading. Designed a GPIO adapter board in KiCad. Wrote developer documentation covering the full boot chain (PoR → PBL → BL2 → BL31 → U-Boot → Linux) and flashing different operating system images. Prepared the data room for investors CTO / Tech Lead — Codeable\nLed the product and development team. Was responsible for everything technology (cloud infrastructure/DevOps, data/analytics stack, software development, \u0026hellip;) Built and ran the Google Cloud and Kubernetes infrastructure, CI/CD, and backend (Ruby on Rails). Designed the data stack (PostgreSQL, Airflow, BigQuery, Looker) and delivered dashboards, A/B tests, and Bayesian analysis. Did all the data analysis from Looker to manual Python analysis (Jupyter, bayesian analysis, \u0026hellip;) Wrote Ruby backend with extensive test suite for the web app. Core competencies # Embedded develoment and debugging Backend development Data analysis \u0026amp; BI Google Cloud Platform Beyond work # I run a home lab for networking, telemetry, and home automation. I tinker with embedded programming electronics, FPGAs. I try to keep up with cyber security around IoT, reverse engineering and hardware hacking. I relax by soldering.
